More snow pics

Before we get into this cold post here are a few pictures of the warm fire.

Like I said in the last post the creek is very high.

There are tons of deer tracks

Here is one up close from up near the house

We have been seeing lots of deer tracks around the house and yard recently.

I have not seen any deer since December though.

I just put out my trail cam though. So, I am hoping to get  few pics of them.

Eggs and slush

Today I went out to give the chickens water and when I looked in the nest box there where four eggs. I guess with the day getting longer they decided that it was time to start laying again. 

Soon I may find ten or twelve in the nest box.

So far I these chickens have not laid more than five or six but now that they are older I think they will start laying more.

The snow has started to melt some but we will soon be back to shoveling paths and huddling next to the wood stove.
