Pictures from the trip home

Coming home from NJ can be quite boring. But it was worth it to see grandma and take pictures of the beach. I took pictures a lot of the way home because I had nothing else to do.

Chicken Catching

So, Laura's chickens got out of their chicken tractor and we had to catch them. Now, usually we spend an hour chasing them all around the yard until we have them cornered and grab them. It has been a long time since any got out so we were out of practice too. Anyway, this time I happened to have an extra electric netting laying around. With this netting and some planing we got them in in under 10 minutes. No, I didn't time it. But we did it fast is the point. There were only 7 but I think it would work with any amount of birds.

More pics from NJ

Bad pictures. But it was beautiful in real life. You will just have to imagine it clear and with no blur.

Pics from the beach

So, I just got back from NJ and started in on school. I will let them upload while I'm typing paragraphs for writing. Here they are.
My best of the beach.

There were like a hundred sandpipers and one seagull in a group together.

After looking at the picture I noticed that this on had a band.
I like this one too.

I might post more after a while.

Tomorrow we leave on a 3 day trip to visit our grandma in NJ. Papa has to work so he is staying. He is taking care of our animals. Some of these pictures are bad but it was so dark in the woods that I had to use the flash. Hope you like them.

I like this one.

So, Friday Granddad took Laura and I to the auction. Several things happened. First of all, we took hamburger and her 2 week old bull calf to the auction. We got what I thought was a decant price for them. Considering they were dairy/beef. So, the dairy people didn't want them and the beef people didn't want them. They were bought by someone Laura knows. It was our first time selling an animal at the auction, so that is why it was such a big deal. Also a big 2k lb red angus bull was super angry and chased all the cattle sorters up the wall. From where I was sitting I could just see there legs hanging for the rafters kicking at the bull to get it away from them. I just thank God that he kept all of them safe. (Nobody was hurt.) Anyway, on the way home it was raining so hard that when at one point when the windshield wipers stopped we couldn't see anything. Slowing down we were getting ready to stop when after stopping and starting them a few times the windshield wipers started going again. It was me, Laura and Granddad in that old truck coming home from the local auction when God helped us and brought us home safely. Many, many things could have gone wrong that day but with god in charge it all worked out. That's how it always is. So, when your day is hard just remember

God has it all worked out and your in his plan.

So, with winter coming we have to get a lot of wood in. So far, we have about half of what we would like to have for the winter. Also, there has been a lot of thinking about trading animals around. Laura afford me her chickens but I'm not sure if I even want my chickens. If I can come up with a good community pen than I might try to get lauras rabbits. I am NOT going to buy them otherwise because it is too time consuming to feed each little pen. I want to be able to feed them all at once and to water them in a hog pan or something like that. I'm not sure what's going to happen yet. I'll update soon.
