The empty nest box

 They will lay their eggs all over the place but not in the nest box. I put pine shavings in it and they still won't lay in the nest box.

I like my chickens.

Two days worth of eggs.

Chicken Feed 2

So, The other day when I moved the chickens to their new pen I left their food outside for a few hours during the move. When I went to get it and put it in with the chickens I noticed that their food had gotten rained on. Now, I always put it under a roof of some kind and so when I saw that it was wet I did not like it. But after thinking about it I remember looking down into it as I was carrying it and thinking that it looked like the texture of Laura's feed that she would soak. I had a discussion with myself about this here and wrote it down. So now I wonder if I should leave the food out in the rain for it to get wet. No. I should not because if it rains hard (and it does) than the whole thing will just overflow and be waisted. Not cool. Anyway I gotta leave now so,

Oh, wait. I also wanted to tell y'all that I saw a flying squirrel today. I thought they only lived in the jungle but apparently they live around here too. I even saw it glide through the air. It was much faster than in all those nature movies. Probably because they slowed it down on the movies. I think I can stop talking now... I think
